Victoria Justice has hit back at rumours she and Ariana Grande were locked in a feud during their time on Nickelodeon series Victorious.

The actress, 28, who found fame on the children’s TV channel in the 2000s, had starred in Victorious alongside singer Ariana, Dynasty star Elizabeth Gillies and Avan Jogia.

She played lead character Tori Vega – a 16-year-old girl who lands a place at an established performing arts school called Hollywood Arts. Victorious aired for four seasons, premiering in 2010 and coming to a close three years later in 2013.

Opening up about her time on the show, Victoria set the record straight on speculation she and Ariana never used to get on while on set and insisted she is a huge fan of her former co-star, who has gone on to become a Grammy-winning artist.

Speaking on the Chicks In The Office podcast, Victoria revealed she and Ariana still keep in contact all these years later and blamed the internet for making any drama on the show ‘this huge crazy thing’.

She vented: ‘All of that drama, whatever, all of that stuff… it’s so silly. Then just people online like fanning those flames and making it this huge crazy thing.’

Clapping back at feuding claims, Victoria said: ‘I love Ariana and she’s killing it right now. And she’s been so supportive of me and my music.’

She revealed: ‘You know, we text, it’s really cool. So everything is all good.’

Sharing her frustration over women in the industry forever being ‘pitted against each other’, Victoria insisted she was more for females supporting each other.

‘It is a little frustrating to see how people do love to pit women against each other, but I think at the end of the day it’s all about us like supporting each other and building each other up,’ she said.

In March last year, the Victorious cast had reunited, with both Victoria and Ariana joining their former co-stars for a virtual reunion online.

Victoria marked the moment on social media with a slew of throwbacks from her time on the teen sitcom and wrote: ’10 years of Victorious!!! It’s actually a little crazy typing that, because in a lot of ways it feels like it was just yesterday. I’ll never forget how I cried at our very first table read.

‘I cried because I was sooo frickin’ happy!!! This show changed my life & I’m so grateful I got to share it with this amazing, insanely talented group of people. We share memories together that I look back fondly on to this day & will always cherish.’

She continued: ‘Thank you so much to all the fans who continue to love and support our show. Makes me real happy to see that it’s still enjoyed by so many of you. Thank you @danwarp for creating this magic 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼. I love you guys!!! #grateful.’

Ariana, meanwhile, shared a screenshot of the cast’s reunion and told fans she was feeling ‘happy’. Victoria had commented at the time on Ariana’s post: ‘Love all of you.’

Ariana got her big break on the series, starring as Cat Valentine, and even went on to have her own spin-off, before releasing her first solo album, Yours Truly, in 2013.

Since then, Ariana has dropped five more albums, treating fans to her latest record, titled Positions, last year.

Not only has she racked up a number of awards, including three American Music Awards and two Billboard Music Awards, the Thank U, Next hit-maker is one of the only artists who has had their first five number one singles debut at number one in the charts.

Pretty impressive, eh.
