Kim Kardashian praises ‘priceless’ family time in ‘challenging’ year as Kanye West divorce drama continues
Kim Kardashian has opened up about a ‘challenging’ year as she and estranged husband Kanye West ‘stop speaking’ amid their divorce drama.
The pair are believed to be on the verge of a split after Kim reportedly filed divorce papers in February. The couple have been married for six years and share four children.
The 40-year-old was not asked directly about the status of her marriage, but told Good Morning Vogue that being able to spend her increased time at home in lockdown with her kids was ‘priceless’.
She said: ‘I think that this year has been so challenging for so many people, but I also think that this year was a huge cleanse and just a huge opportunity for people to really be grateful for the simple things, and that is a huge awakening that I think so many people had.
‘Just even the amount of time that I know me and all my parent friends have spent with our children has been beautiful that we get this time.’
Asked what lockdown has allowed her to revaluate, Kim said: ‘I always try to look at things in a positive way, even though it’s been such a challenging year.
‘I think it’s been a time to regenerate, get creative, spend so much time with family, and just this time that I’ve been able to spend with my children has been priceless, and that part has been so beautiful, just knowing that when we do start to fill our plates back up I hope that we don’t fill them up with things that don’t make us happy.
‘Even the work schedule, I used to work non stop and I would have done anything and everything at all hours and never take into consideration just slowing down at all, so this was a forced halt.’
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star also revealed that she has two years to go at law school, and already has two years under her belt.
Kim and Kanye are still co-parenting their children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
According to a Page Six source, the rapper has told Kim to contact him through his security, but is ‘seeing a lot’ of their kids.
It was first reported that they were filing for divorce last month, but it was said that things are ‘amicable’ between them.
Court documents confirm that TV star Kim has asked for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children.
