Serena Williams and Her Daughter Olympia Pay Unique Tribute To Megan Thee Stallion’s Grammy Wins
During the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Megan Thee Stallion won the Grammy trophy for the Best New Artist. It turned out to be an unforgettable occasion as Megan also won the two other Grammy awards for the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for her Savage remix with Beyonce.
To celebrate Megan’s incredible achievement, her big fan Serena Williams uploaded a video on Instagram alongside her daughter Alexis Olympia with the duo dancing to Megan’s track Body.
Serena Williams congratulates Megan Thee Stallion
Williams showed off her dance moves as her cute little daughter joined wearing a sweet pink gown. The mother-daughter duo threw their arms overhead and grooved to the hit song.
As the video cut wide open, Williams and her daughter took to the tennis court surrounded by their friends. This followed with the entire entourage doing the hip-shaking dance as per the challenge.
Interestingly, Williams held her tennis racquet on the court as she danced along with her friends. The 23-time Grand Slam champion congratulated Meghan uniquely and her dance video has already gone viral on social media.
“How we feel about these Grammy wins! Congratulations!!” Williams captioned the post.
In fact, towards to end of last year, Williams did Megan Thee Stallion’s “Body” dance challenge on the tennis court and also incorporated an element of her own choreography.
Meanwhile, Williams will compete next at the 2021 Miami Open, a tournament she has won a record eight times in her career. This will be Williams’ first tournament since she crashed out of the semifinals of the Australian Open last month.
The American is one Grand Slam short of equaling Margaret Court’s record of 24 major championships. Despite having come extremely close, Williams has lost in all her four previous Grand Slam finals.
