After an intense week-long game, the winner of the celebrity version of Channel 4’s The Circle has finally been revealed, with Lady Leshurr coming out victorious.

The series saw a star-studded cast move into the Circle apartments for the first time and try to pick out the catfishes from the genuine celebrities.

Throughout the competition the players rated each other on how genuine they believed each player to be, with the final ratings revealing Big Narstie aka Lady Leshurr in the number one spot.

She beat Saffron Barker, who was herself in the competition, to nab the title, with Saffron finishing in second place and Rachel Riley, played by Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson, coming in joint third with Denise Van Outen.

Breaking down in tears over her win, Lady Leshurr said: ‘I feel like such an idiot for crying, but I did this because I lost my sister to breast cancer.

She added: ‘This literally means everything to me.’

Lady Leshurr faced plenty of challenges in the competition and had to bring herself back from the chopping block more than once, as she tried to convince her fellow players that she was in fact the rapper.

‘You were amazing,’ host Emma Willis told Lady Leshurr, as she reunited with all of the game’s original players for the result.

Ahead of her win being announced, Denise was praised for her detective skills, while Pete and Sam had everyone in stitches, as footage was shown of the pair narrowly avoiding major slip ups in the game on multiple occasions by referring to themselves as ‘us’ and ‘we’, instead of a singular person as Rachel.

Addressing his time on the Stand Up 2 Cancer special, Pete joked: ‘The obsession that I got with it was borderline unhealthy, I don’t know how I’m going to integrate back into society.’

The silver lining of Rachel coming in third place, however, meant that Pete didn’t have to go ahead with getting matching tattoos with Sam – as they’d vowed to do so if they’d won.

Earlier in the episode, the celebrity contestants were finally allowed to come face-to-face for one last dinner, where it was revealed once and for all whether they were genuine or a catfish.

The biggest shock of the night was Big Narstie actually being Lady Leshurr, as the stars had convinced themselves that the rapper was really himself.

Denise’s face was a picture and Sam brought up Lady Leshurr’s rap battle with Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom, who were faking as will.i.am, as he told Lady Leshurr: ‘Your rap for not Big Narstie was phenomenal.’

The final episode began with a double blocking, as Charlotte Crosby and Baga Chipz were shown the door.

Denise and Pete and Sam held the power and chose two players to be removed from the competition, with Denise choosing to kick out Kim Woodburn (Baga Chipz), who she correctly guessed was a catfish, and the boys booting Peter Andre (Charlotte).

Charlotte said on her exit: ‘I’m not gonna lie it’s a kick in the ovaries or should I say Peter Andre’s balls that I’m leaving before the final, do you know how gut-wrenching that is.’

As the competition came to a close, fans were seen calling for the celebrity version of The Circle to be given a longer run next time round, after seeing the stars battling it out left them hooked.

‘The celeb series needs to be longer next time #thecircle,’ tweeted one viewer.

Another agreed: ‘This celeb version has been brilliant. Hope they do a longer run next time. #TheCircle #TheCelebrityCircle.’

One fan went straight to Channel 4 as they posted: ‘Hey @C4TheCircle can we next time have a longer series of celebs! It’s too funny!!’

‘What a great series! Congrats to all the Celebs involved, can we do it again next year?’ one more viewer commented.

While they may have to wait for another celebrity game, viewers can get their Circle fix with season three of the civilian series which is set to launch on Channel 4 on Tuesday.

The Circle: Stand Up 2 Cancer is available to watch via catch up on All 4.
