Top Gear’s back – alright! And so is 90s fashion judging by host Freddie Flintoff’s new look.

The TV host reunited with Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris on Sunday night for the latest series of the car show, and it took all of two seconds for people to notice his retro style.

With pink sunglasses and a middle parting that turned his hair into curtains, Freddie gave Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter a run for his money.

Lockdown has seemingly hit us all in some weird ways.

Joker Paddy couldn’t resist a dig at his mate, and told him: ‘Tonight, it’s time to slip on those rose tinted spectacles… you already have!’

But viewers and 90s kids at home didn’t mind so much – and were actually quite appreciating the retro throwbacks.

There was a bit of a debate over who his fashion inspo was – with everyone from Gareth from The Office to Jurgen Klopp being blamed.

Top Gear’s latest series was quite the trip down memory lane for the lads, with the gang talking about the cars their parents had when they were kids.

Chris later hit the track to test Lamborghini’s Sian – dubbed ‘the most powerful hybrid car ever’.

The episode was dedicated in honour of legendary Formula One commentator Murray Walker, who died on Saturday aged 97.

Top Gear continues Sundays at 8pm on BBC One.
