Emma Willis has admitted she ‘can’t remember’ large parts of series three of The Circle, after revealing a bombshell about filming.
While the Channel 4 show usually goes out live, the producers were forced to pre-record the series back in September due to coronavirus protocols.
The reality show, which returns tonight, sees nine players competing for £100,000 as they live in a block of apartments and stay isolated from each other.
They can only communicate through a voice-activated system called The Circle, and aim to avoid elimination by remaining one of the most popular players.
Emma is returning to present the new series, but admitted that she can’t remember parts of the show as it was shot around six months ago.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly this morning about series three, Emma said: ‘We filmed this back in September. I obviously do remember it, but there’s so much of it that I don’t remember. So it’s like a whole new show to watch again.’
It comes after the celebrity version of the show came to an end on Monday night, with Lady Leshurr winning after playing as Big Narstie.
Speaking about the series and explaining the premise of the show, Emma said: ‘The celebrity version was for Stand up to Cancer, raising money for a fantastic cause.
‘Essentially, it’s a group of people, they go to live in an apartment block in their own apartment, and they can only communicate via an inbuilt social media platform that is purely for them. And the aim of the game is to come up with a winner by being the most popular player.’
The cast of The Circle’s third series was recently revealed, and it includes a former Gladiators star hoping to catfish his fellow contestants.
The Circle series 3 begins on Channel 4 this evening at 9.15pm. Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9am.
