The Talk has been pulled from air until next Tuesday following Sharon Osbourne’s heated clash with co-host Sheryl Underwood over Piers Morgan and race issues.

The US chat show has not aired new episodes this week after it came under scrutiny when Sharon shouted down at Sheryl, demanding to be ‘educated’ about racism.

Following the controversial argument, CBS announced they would be looking into the matter internally.

Now the show’s hiatus has been extended in order to continue investigating claims that have been made about conduct on the show.

In a statement, the networkd said: ‘CBS is committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace across all of our productions. We’re also very mindful of the important concerns expressed and discussions taking place regarding events on The Talk.

‘This includes a process where all voices are heard, claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken where necessary. The show will extend its production hiatus until next Tuesday as we continue to review these issues.’

The show was always set to air reruns on Friday and Monday due to NCAA Tournament, hence the return on March 23.
