WWE has confirmed a rare inter-gender match for Fastlane after Alexa Bliss challenged Randy Orton and the rest of the show started to take shape.

Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon was also added to the card, while long-time friends turned bitter enemies Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will look to settle their feud once and for all.

Speaking of the latter, Raw was bookended by some fine action to push that storyline – and Drew’s issues with Lashley – along nicely.

The night started with a typical revolving door promo as Bobby – with MVP by his side – hyped up the All Mighty Era, The Miz and John Morrison came out to stake the former’s claim for a rematch, and McIntyre issued a warning.

In the end, Miz’s distraction let Lashley attack Drew, leaving him down as the A-Lister joins in to gain an advantage in their opening match – but not before Sheamus appears out of nowhere and takes out the WWE Champion!

In a great bit of storytelling, the Celtic Warrior claimed he did so because he wanted Drew at 100%, and challenged Bobby in the main event.

McIntyre and Miz got things stared in the opening match, which was really stretched out showcase for the Scottish Psychopath en route to a brilliant win with Lashley’s patented Full Nelson.

Drew was also at ringside for the main event, which saw Lashley and Sheamus put on an absolutely fantastic showing – exactly as you’d expect at this point.

The WWE Champion rightly won the hard-hitting bout, but a distraction after the bell was enough for McIntyre to hit a Claymore to Bobby before he and Sheamus stared each other down.

New Tag Team Champions, Asuka snaps, Omos getting title shot and Bad Bunny gets battered

The second match of the night saw Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose take on Lana and Naomi in a decent but unremarkable match with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on commentary.

The Queen of Spades left the desk to attack Asuka as the Raw Women’s Champion came out after getting her tooth knocked out earlier this month – and back in the ring, Brooke pinned Lana.

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Hurt Business stars Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in a fantastic contest to claim the Raw Tag Team Titles.

After the brilliant bout, AJ Styles and Omos interrupted the celebration and put themselves out there as challengers for WrestleMania – which was quickly accepted.

Elsewhere, Bad Bunny ended up exchanging his 24/7 Title with R-Truth for some Stone Cold merch, before accompanying Damian Priest to the ring for his thankfully dominant win over Jaxson Ryker.

Afterwards, Elias’ attempt to attack Bad Bunny was thwarted, only for JoMo to distract Priest and the Grammy winner long enough for Miz to attack him with a guitar from behind.

Meanwhile, Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon had a chance to fix last week’s bizarre segment as they look to build some hype before their presumed WrestleMania 37 showdown.

Shane O’Mac accepted a challenge from the Monster Among Men and they were set for a match midday through the night, which saw Braun batter his rival until shot with a camera left him lying.

Shane hit his trademark elbow drop off the top rope with the announce table and dumped green slime over Strowman, who he’s now set to face at Fastlane.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss had a message for Randy Orton and said he’d have to take her out himself if he wants her gone from his life – and she lay down the huge challenge for Fastlane.

After what went down earlier in the night, Asuka took on Shayna Baszler in a short but intense match, which the champ won with a roll-up before the brawl continued after the bell.

The Empress of Tomorrow – who had attacked before the match even started – took control and tried to get a measure of revenge, but a referee stopped her before she could hit a curb stomp into an exposed turnbuckle.

Over in the United States Title scene, Riddle retained his gold against Mustafa Ali in a cracking match which ended when T-Bar accidentally distracted the ref, costing the RETRIBUTION leader the bout.

Not surprisingly, Ali was livid – and we could be set for him to be booted out of the group to make way for a new leader.
