Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has landed her first major film role since making her Netflix debut.

The actress, 25, who is best known for playing Daphne Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series, will be staring alongside A Discovery Of Witches star Matthew Goode in Sky original movie The Colour Room.

The movie is set in the 1920s and will see Phoebe take on the role of Clarice Cliff – who went onto become a pioneering ceramic artist in the pottery industry.

Working in Stoke-On-Trent, Cliff went on to become one of the greatest designers of all time who helped to revolutionise the workplace.

Also joining the cast will be The Walking Dead’s David Morrissey and Poldark star Luke Norris, as well as Kerry Fox and Darci Shaw.

Filming is expected to get underway later this month in the UK across locations in Stoke-On-Trent and Birmingham, with the movie currently looking at a cinematic release later this year.

Variety reports it will also be available to watch on Sky Cinema.

Phoebe confirmed her addition to the cast on Instagram and seemed to be channelling her new onscreen alter-ego as she tried her hand at a pottery class.

Showing off her efforts, the former Waterloo Road star snapped her first attempt at a vase and initialled it P.D – not bad, eh?

The Colour Room will be Phoebe’s first major film role since starring in Regency drama Bridgerton.

The first season of Bridgerton dropped on Netflix on Christmas Day and went on to smash records, with it being watched by a huge 82million households within 28 days of its release.

Such stats make it Netflix’s biggest series of all time, with bosses already confirming that season two is on its way.

While Phoebe’s character Daphne and the Duke of Hastings (played by Regé-Jean Page) took centre stage this time round, season two is set to centre in on Viscount Lord Anthony Bridgerton played by Jonathan Bailey.

Showrunner Chris Van Dusen revealed on US show Today: ‘Season two we’re really going to be with the eldest Bridgerton brother, this season. Our Viscount Lord Anthony Bridgerton played by Jonathan Bailey.

‘We left him at the end of the first season in a bit of a crossroads so I’m looking forward to jumping in and discovering how he fares on the marriage market.’
