Khloe Kardashian reveals she’s a high-risk carrier for second pregnancy: ‘It’s an 80% chance I’ll miscarry’
Khloe Kardashian opens up about the unexpected news she was given about her future pregnancies in a new clip of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Ahead of the season 20 premiere, the reality star is seen talking candidly to her older sister Kim about her IVF struggles.
When asked about the ‘next steps’ with her eggs, Khloe told Kim: ‘I have to wait until the mixing process is done before I know how many embryos I have.
‘But I spoke to Dr. A and she was just a little concerned about like, I did a check and blood panels and all this stuff, and she just said that I would be a high-risk carrier for a pregnancy.’
The 36-year-old then revealed doctors believe she could have ‘an 80-something percent chance’ that she’ll miscarry if she tries to carry another child.
The mother-of-one couldn’t hide her concern as she continued: ‘I almost miscarried with True at the beginning. But I didn’t know that was a lingering thing.’
In a confessional, Khloe stated that her update from doctors had been ‘shocking.’
The Good American mogul said: ‘All I’m trying to do is bring more love into my life and into my family. And it just…I seem to be running into more and more roadblocks and it’s really hard for me to digest.’
After hearing about Khloe’s struggles, Kim reminded her sister that she had ‘the best experience’ with surrogacy for two of her children.
The Skims founder stated: ‘And I think that you know what giving birth feels like. I always say, if you can do it like, it’s such an amazing experience. But you’ll see that the love that you have for your kids is exactly the same.’
The mother-of-four insisted there’s ‘no difference’ with surrogacy outside the fact that ‘there was someone else that was the carrier.’
However, Khloe confided in another confessional that she find the idea of surrogacy ‘scary’.
She told the KUWTK cameras: ‘I’m really grateful that there are other options but, I loved being pregnant with True. It’s such a beautiful experience to have. Knowing I’d might never get to feel like that again, it’s daunting, it’s scary, it’s stressful and it breaks my heart.’
Khloe shares two-year-old daughter, True Thompson, with her on-again, off-again partner Tristan Thompson.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians final season 20 airs on E! in the US from March 18 and will be available to stream on hayu the next day in the UK.
