King Of The Hill boss ‘in hot negotiations’ for series revival after 13 years
King Of The Hill’s executive producer has teased a revival of the adult cartoon could soon be in the works.
With the increasing number of returning shows, including Sex and The City and Beavis and Butt-Head, it seems the 90s revival is in full swing with another fave in ‘hot negotiations’ to come back to our screens.
Brent Forrester, who was also head writer on the series, spoke about the possibility of bringing Hank and the Hill family for some new episodes.
In a Reddit AMA, he said: ‘I am sure [series creators] Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES.
‘They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again.
‘The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I’ve said too much :).’
King Of The Hill ran from 1997 to 2009, and featured life inside a blue collar Texas family led by Hank, voiced by Mike Judge.
Hocus Pocus star Kathy Najmimy voiced his overworked wife Peggy, with their middle school aged son Bobby (Pamela Adlon) also causing trouble.
Brittany Murphy starred as the family’s niece, with Johnny Knoxville playing Peggy’s brother, who both live in the family home.
The series has not yet been given the official go-ahead but news of a potential revival comes after other former favourites, including Beavis and Butt-Head, has also been given an updated treatment.
The Powerpuff Girls is also being given a modern makeover, being turned into a live-action remake with the three young superheroes becoming jaded with being forced to save the world from a young age.
