Pete Davidson is not married, okay.

The Saturday Night Live host, 27, had fans pretty confused after a press release started doing the rounds stating Pete was behind a new production company and revealing he’d married his fellow CEO.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the release was circulated on Tuesday via PR sites and newswires and claimed comedian Pete was the new CEO of Bodega Cats Presents LLC.

The release then casually dropped in that Pete was supposedly married to his co-CEO Michelle Davidson and appeared to include a statement from him saying how ‘excited’ he was to be a part of the company and to help give aspiring stand-ups a start in the industry.

If the release had been legit, it wouldn’t have been the first time a celeb has caught us off guard by revealing they’d secretly wed, but Pete’s legal team was quick to confirm it was all fake news.

A statement from Pete’s attorney read: ‘The press release being circulated this morning about Pete Davidson is completely false. Not a word of it is true.

‘Mr Davidson has no idea who this person is. We are investigating and considering all legal and equitable remedies.’

The release has since been taken down from sites that had published it. A website and social media accounts for Bodega Cats Presents LLC seem to have also been removed.

It comes after Pete revealed last year that he’s looking for ‘true love’ and called himself a ‘hopeless romantic’.

In a chat with People, he said: ‘I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in true love and I believe in love and I think love is a great thing and I hope I’m fortunate enough to find that one day.’

Sharing his thoughts on why he may have been unlucky in love so far, Pete mused: ‘I just think that people have this thing about me where I’m just this jacka** kinda guy. I just think I’m misunderstood.’

He was famously engaged to Ariana Grande, 27, who he started dating in May 2018, shortly after her split from late rapper Mac Miller.

They revealed their engagement a month later in June that year, but called it quits in October – following the death of Ariana’s ex Mac a month prior in September.

Pete later went on to date actress Kate Beckinsale, 47, and Margaret Qualley, 26, before getting into a relationship with 19-year-old model Kaia Gerber.

News of their split surfaced in January 2020, with Pete confirming the break and insisting it ‘wasn’t the right time’ for their romance.
