Drake appears to have shut down reports that he is ‘ready to date’ Kim Kardashian after she filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West.

Drake and Kanye have famously feuded in the past over allegations of a romance between the One Dance hitmaker and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing the duo together anytime soon.

Popular Instagram account, Gossip of the City, shared a post on Thursday which claimed to show Drake denying reports about his hopes for a romance with Skims founder Kim.

The account reached slid into the What’s Next rapper’s Drake to ask if the story was ‘fake news’.

‘Obviously,’ he replied alongside a crying laughing face emoji.

The account holder captioned the post: ‘

Earlier this week, The Sun reported that the Motto rapper was ready to date Kim Kardashian as sources claimed Drake started messaging the newly-single star upon hearing about her split.

The insiders alleged that the Forever rapper was ‘confident’ the pair would soon link up.

It came after some fans speculated that the Forever rapper was talking about having relations with Kanye’s estranged wife on his new track, Wants and Needs.

Many focused on the lyrics which state: ‘Yeah, I probably should go link with Yeezy, I need me some Jesus / But soon as I started confessin’ my sins, he wouldn’t believe us.’

Drake caused a similar furor in 2018 when the Nice For What hitmaker rapped about a woman named Kiki (which is Kim’s nickname) on his track, In My Feelings.

However, the KKW beauty founder denied that the two ever hooked up as she wrote at the time: ‘Never happened. End of story.’
