Dr.Disrespect Returns to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds After Deleting It in 2020
Dr. Disrespect recently uploaded a video titled “DrDisrespect is BACK on His Favorite Battle Royale Game.” The video features the gameplay of PlayerUnknown’s Battleground. Dr. Disrespect had quit the game back in September 2020 after he reached his breaking point with in-game hackers. After reporting the hacker, he ranted “I just spent 15 f**king minutes in your sh*thole game to die to a hacker. I spent 20-25 minutes setting up myself for success, rotating in, trying to pick people off coming into the zone, for them to throw a technical foul and lie to me.”
This was not the first time the game had made the ‘Two-time’s’ blood boil. However, it certainly was the last straw. After deleting the game Doc explained “Just absolute, stubborn clueless developers, get me off the game. I will never play Battlegrounds again, not that one. These Blueball developers over in South Korea, they’ve got no f**king idea, no clue how much time I put in that game.”
It seems that Doc has had a change of heart towards the game in 2021. As the doc stops by the arcade on his journey to the arena, he notices an old but familiar machine. It is the machine with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds installed on it. Long-time fans of his would have been extremely excited to see him back on the battle royale that propelled him into stardom.
During the game, Dr.Disrespect gives us nostalgic glimpses of his 2019 days. He dominates the lobby with 8 kills. The cherry on top is the fact that he got a “Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner” in his first game back.
While it is not a permanent return to the game, at this point fans will take what they can get. At the end of the game, he even refers to it as “Boringgrounds” communicating his current thoughts on the game.
Dr.Disrespect still evidently prefers to stream Call of Duty and Valorant. In his match of the day highlights, he showcases a game of Warzone in which he gets 7 brilliant kills before being eliminated. However, he is able to earn his way back into the game via the gulag. Finally, he gets 3 more kills before taking the game.
