‘Exciting to Watch’ – New Signing Emmanuel Sanders Lauds Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills

At 32, it’s safe to say that Emmanuel Sanders is one of the more experienced wide receivers in the NFL. The 2010 third-round pick (82nd overall) spent the 2020 NFL season with NFC South franchise, New Orleans Saints. Sanders featured in 14 games for the Saints last year with 726 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns to his name.

Sean McDermott-led Buffalo Bills moved quickly in the summer to bring in the experienced wideout on a short-term deal. The Texas-born athlete put pen to paper on a $6M deal which includes a $2.75M signing bonus spread over two years.

This will bring Sanders’ cap hit down to $4.625M for 2021. His overall base salary will be $2.8M, along with other workout and roster bonuses included in the deal.

Despite arriving in New York just a few days ago, Emmanuel Sanders claims he’s been following the Bills for a while now. The former Denver Broncos man heaped praise on quarterback Josh Allen in a recent press conference as well.

He said, “I used to sit on my off days on a Tuesday, I’d grab my iPad, and I would watch the Buffalo Bills, the coach’s film, and just the routes they were running. You’re seeing Josh [Allen] run around and rip the ball 60 yards down the field, it was just exciting to watch.”

“It’s a reason why everybody is starting to talk about the Bills because they’re gaining traction,” Sanders said earlier this week.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott was also quick to heap praise on his latest acquisition.

“He’s a guy we’ve tracked for a couple of years. He’s been in winning locker rooms and he’s had some big-time impressive numbers. Listen, you never want to lose your fastball,” McDermott said via Associated Press.

The Bills sealed their first AFC East title in 24 years last season with a 13-3 record. They made their way all the way to the AFC Championship Game in post-season where they were dealt a humbling 38-24 loss against Super Bowl LIV winners, Kansas City Chiefs.

The arrival of Sanders will offer Allen another option in the wideout department along with the impressive Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. The Bills are hungry for Super Bowl glory. Do you think they can go all the way in 2021?
