Dua Lipa is said to be ‘shaken’ after being charged at by a group of fans as she arrived in Mexico over the weekend.
The Don’t Stop Now singer was filmed surrounded by a hoard of excited fans shortly after landing in Mexico City on Saturday.
However, the situation took a scary turn as a couple of overzealous supporters rushed up to her prompting a security scare.
In the clip, Dua is seen making her way to a waiting car amid the throng of fans as bodyguards and a friend led the way.
A couple of fans, who were standing to the side, are then seen making a quick dash towards Dua and appear to grab her arm forcing the security to drag them away.
Dua is knocked to the side slightly in the melee before quickly jumping into the car.
A source told The Sun: ‘News that she was in the area spread and obviously people were keen to catch sight of Dua. But it turned nasty when two fans rushed up to her.
‘They really ran at her and it looked scary.’
They added: ‘Dua looked really uncomfortable. Thankfully security was there to drag the people away because who knows what could have happened.’
Dua, 25, has not addressed the terrifying incident but appears to be enjoying her time in Mexico after sharing photos of her enjoying local cuisine.
‘This is my slow transition into becoming a food blog,’ she joked.
It appears the pop star has flown into Mexico for a Yves Saint Laurent campaign shoot, as she captioned one Twitter post: ‘So happy to be back on set for the new Libre campaign with my @yslbeauty Team.’
Dua is fresh from her victory at the Grammy Awards last week after winning best pop vocal album for the chart-topping Future Nostalgia.
Accepting her award, the singer said at the ceremony: ‘I guess this year we’ve really stepped up.
‘It’s a change that we hope to see for many years to come. It only felt right to be able to do that because they’re artists that I love and admire, and I was so honored to be able to share that moment with them.’
