Good news for fans of Keanu Reeves, comic books and anime as the actor’s BRZKRK is being developed by Netflix.

The Matrix star’s comic is not only getting a live-action film on the streaming platform, but there will also be a follow-up anime series as well.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, Keanu is going to star in both versions – voicing the anime and playing the lead role in the live-action flick.

Netflix announced the news on social media in a post which read: ‘Exciting news! Netflix is developing a live-action film AND follow-up anime series based on Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR, a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. Reeves will produce and star in the film, and voice the anime.’

BRZRKR is a ‘brutally epic saga’ about an immortal warrior’s 80,000-year fight through the ages.

The man – known only as ‘B’ – is half-mortal and half-god and is cursed and compelled to violence to the detriment of his sanity.

After wandering the earth for centuries, B appears to finally find a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.

In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence and how to end it.

The first issue of the 12-issue limited series launched on March 3 and has already sold over 615,000.

No word on when to expect the projects, but we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait.
