Steve Harvey reveals hilarious reason why he hopes daughter Lori’s relationship with Michael B. Jordan lasts
Steve Harvey has been trying to find a fault in his daughter Lori Harvey’s boyfriend, Michael B. Jordan but he’s had no success so far.
The 64-year-old star joked about his daughter’s relationship during his appearance on Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show as he opened up about how Michael compares to some of Lori’s previous boyfriends.
Speaking to Ellen, the Family Feud host laughed: ‘You know, I have tried not to like him. I have tried to find something wrong with him that I could dig in and go. ‘Cause I done got rid of all of them. All of them.
‘Some of them that snuck in the back door on me and lasted a lot longer than I wanted it to.’
Some of Lori’s exes that he ‘got rid of’ could include the likes of rapper Future, music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his son Justin Combs.
However, Steve chose not to reveal any names as he went on to praise Black Panther star Michael.
He continued: ‘This guy is such a good guy, man. He is one of the nicest guys, man. I’ve met his father. I’ve set up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothin’ wrong with him.
‘Between me and you, I’m hoping this lasts ’cause this is a really, really good guy, man.’
The comedian then joked: ‘I can’t whoop him. Most guys, I say I can jump on ’em and take ’em out, but he just looks like a real ass-whoopin’ in the making. So I’m just hoping they make it.’
Ellen – who has interviewed MBJ several times – stated that she believed the actor would stay in Steve’s life ‘for a while’.
‘Oh, god, let’s hope so,’ Steve sighed in reply.
However, Steve has made it clear that there’s one thing he doesn’t agree with when it comes to MBJ’s fame.
The radio host previously joked that he doesn’t believe Michael is ‘the sexiest man alive’, as appointed by People Magazine.
