Kellyanne Conway’s daughter Claudia found herself eliminated from American Idol last night, during the second round of Hollywood Week.
The TikTok star, 16, was sent home by judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan after taking part in the duets round with fellow contestant Hannah Everheart.
Monday’s episode of the ABC competition saw the pair singing Harry Style’s hit single, Sign Of The Times, but failing to impress the judges with their performance.
After chastising the duo for harmonizing too much and not showcasing their individual talents, the judges decided Hannah was the one who did enough to continue on to the Showstopper round.
Katy, 36, delivered the news to Claudia as she stated: ‘You’re just coming to life and I can see it in you.
‘You’re taking control of your life and becoming your own person and I applaud you for that.’
The Teenage Dream singer continued: ‘But your time on American Idol has come to an end for right now. I hope you learned a lot and I hope you come and see us again.’
Claudia has become a social media star thanks to her TikToks, where she voices political opinions that are often at odds with her Republican mother’s.
However, since her auditions on AI last year, there has been turmoil in the Conway family, after a topless picture of Claudia was shared on Kellyanne’s Twitter account.
The teenager accused her mother of leaking the pictures, but later said that she knew ‘my mother would never put something like that on the internet’.
Police in New Jersey investigated the issue, visiting the Conway home on January 20, and Claudia and Kellyanne took some time off social media to work on their relationship offline.
American Idol airs on ABC in the US.
