Playing a game of six degrees of separation between Coronation Street and Ariana Grande just got a hell of a lot easier.

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor and Pete Davidson are reportedly growing closer, meaning our entirely new lifelong dream of Sally Metcalfe from Corrie being papped with a Saturday Night Live star is ever closer.

Phoebe, 25 – the daughter of Corrie star Sally Dynevor – is believed to have hit it off with comedian Pete, 27, when she visited New York City last month for work, as she filmed the series Younger.

Back in February, the actress shared pictures from Brooklyn – where Pete lives – to Instagram with the caption: ‘Grateful I got to be here for a hot sec.’

The pair got on so well that Pete reportedly flew to Altrincham in Manchester to hang out with the Netflix star.

A photo was shared to the Altrincham HQ Facebook page showing the actor posing with two fans, with the caption: ‘Bizarre Altrincham spot of the day today. Pete Davidson in the market quarter. Star of King Of Staten Island  … and also in the forthcoming Suicide Squad movie.

‘He’s staying over in Altrincham with friends.’

Although Pete wasn’t papped with Phoebe, she currently lives in Manchester, where her mother films Coronation Street.

A source told The Sun: ‘Pete is a real charmer and has hit it off with Phoebe, who is obviously beautiful and talented. They have been enjoying each other’s company, although they haven’t known each other long.

‘The fact he has flown all the way to the UK shows how interested he is.’

Phoebe, who previously starred in Waterloo Road, has shot to fame Stateside thanks to her role as Daphne in the steamy period drama Bridgerton.

Recently, her on-screen husband Regé-Jean Page starred alongside Pete in SNL sketches when he hosted the show.

While Pete is known for his comedy on the sketch show and roles in The King of Staten Island and The Dirt, he has also hit headlines in the past due to his love life.

In June 2018, after just a few weeks of dating, Pete proposed to Ariana Grande, and the couple planned to be married before splitting up in September.

The star is name-dropped on Ariana’s hit Thank U, Next, in the lyrics: ‘Even almost got married, and for Pete I’m so thankful’, and his name is even the title of a track on Ariana’s album Sweetener.

After their engagement ended, Pete began dating Kate Beckinsale, who is 20 years his senior, and pictures of them making out at a hockey game next to a very awkward Antoni Porowski from Queer Eye went viral.

Since then, Pete has dated two stars with famous parents – first off, he dated Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actress Margaret Qualley, whose mum is Andie MacDowell.

Then, Pete was linked to model Kaia Gerber, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford.

And three makes a trend…

Phoebe, on the other hand, has not had any high-profile romances in the spotlight just yet, although she dated Skins star Sean Teale back in 2017.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Dynevor and Davidson for comment.
