Prince’s estate will put the late singer’s ashes on display at his Paisley Park compound next month to mark five years since his death.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the ashes will be on display in atrium, where they were placed when the sprawling estate was opened as a museum. The family later requested they be removed from public view.

Fans can reserve a visiting slot out of 70 available spaces on paisleypark.com, and on April 21 20 people per slot will be allowed in for 30 minute visits to the atrium. Regular tours for that day will be suspended to allow for the occasion and no mobile phones will be allowed.

On the day attendees are also permitted to leave flowers and tributes at the statue of Prince’s glyph in front of Paisley.

Paisley Park executive Alan Seiffert said in a statement: ‘We celebrate his life and legacy every day at Paisley Park, a place that Prince wanted to share with the world.

‘So, on this day especially, we acknowledge the incredible force and inspiration Prince is in people’s lives and open up our doors for them to pay their respects.’

Prince’s family have been keeping his memory and music alive, most recently releasing all of his hits onto TikTok to inspire a ‘new generation’ of fans.

It came after a deal made by the When Doves Cry singer’s estate with the video sharing platform in the hope people can find ‘meaning’ in his tracks.

The musician died in 2016 aged 57 following an accidental overdose of powerful anaesthetic fentanyl.
