Joe Wicks’ notorious fart came back to haunt him on Lorraine today as the host brought up the hilarious mishap from his game-changing YouTube workout videos.

Joe became one of the country’s true heroes during the coronavirus pandemic, with 115 daily workouts reaching 100 million people around the world.

His achievement is extraordinary. And when we look back at the year in which Joe got the nation into shape, we’ll always remember the moment he let rip to an audience of millions.

‘You pack a punch!’ teased Lorraine, howling away in the ITV studio as a clip of Joe’s trump played out.

Grinning, the fitness pro laughed: ‘I thought that was going to be a bit of hot air that would blow over but it’s haunted me. That fart went all the way to Australia, they had it on breakfast TV there.’

Almost falling off her chair in hysterics, Lorraine chuckled: ‘I’m not surprised it went all the way to Australia.’

At the time, Joe said he was ‘so embarrassed’ by his mishap.

Appearing on Mark Wright’s Heart FM show, he squirmed: ‘Basically, I filmed my first P.E with Joe yesterday, live at 9am, right.

‘I pressed the live button just on my YouTube stream, and just before, I’m talking 20 seconds before, something slipped out Mark… and you can guess what it will be Mark…’

The Body Coach star wrapped up his final live PE With Joe earlier this month, but will continue his new Super Sweat Saturdays sessions over on the Body Coach app.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
