YouTuber Grace Victory has left ICU three months after being placed into an induced coma amid her coronavirus battle.

With doctors previously predicting that she had only an extremely low chance of survival, the 30-year-old celebrated her miraculous recovery on social media.

Grace tweeted on Monday: ‘The medical staff gave me a 5% chance of surviving Covid but because I’m me, I’ve been discharged from the ICU. I will never ever give up.’

She added in a later tweet: ‘The entire time my family and Lee kept saying “you don’t know what she’s capable of” and the whole world sent me love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’

It has been two weeks since Grace woke from her induced coma.

The new mum had been admitted to intensive care on Christmas Day after giving birth to her first child the day before.

Her family revealed doctors had to deliver her baby boy early because Grace was ‘too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy’.

At the end of 2020, Grace’s family issued positive news on her recovery, writing on Twitter: ‘Grace is currently stable and responding well to treatment.

‘We as a family are truly overwhelmed by the amount of Love and well wishes sent to our Grace and we want to thank each and everyone of you for casting a light of hope our way.

‘Please still keep Grace in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s get her home. Love family & bubba x. (sic)’

The statement came five days after Grace’s family explained that her health had declined due to coronavirus.

‘As you guys know, Grace gave birth on Christmas Eve to a beautiful baby boy, who is currently doing so well, he’s incredible,’ they announced in a previous post. ‘We love him so much.

‘Grace developed Covid-19 two weeks ago and although her symptoms were mild at first, they worsened as the days went on. Which meant they had to deliver the baby as soon as possible, as she was just too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy.’

They continued: ‘Grace was admitted into intensive care on Christmas Day due to issues with her breathing & therefore they had to make the decision of placing her into an induced coma, to give her body the rest it needs, in order to recover.’
