EastEnders star Shaun Williamson absolutely astounded Beat The Chasers viewers when he walked away with a whopping £120,000 for charity after taking on all five Chasers.

In the launch episode of series three of The Chase spin-off Beat The Chasers, five celebrities went up against the dreaded Chasers in a bid to win some money for their chosen charitable causes.

Last up was actor and writer Shaun, who Jenny Ryan, aka ‘The Vixen’, described as a ‘real opponent’.

When deciding which money offer to accept, in the end the 55-year-old decided to go big, taking on all five Chasers for an incredible £120,000.

While he had 60 seconds on the clock, the five quiz extraordinaires had 45 seconds between them.

But despite the immense pressure, Shaun kept his nerve and ended up winning the cash with 15 seconds to spare.

As confetti rained down upon him, presenter Bradley Walsh remarked: ‘That was great, what a performance that was. Absolutely tip top.’

As The Chasers beamed at the contestant’s achievement, Shaun Wallace, otherwise known as ‘The Dark Destroyer’, commented: ‘That’s why we said he’s celebrity quizzing royalty.’

When Bradley asked actor Shaun if he was ‘pleased’, he replied: ‘Honestly, inside I’m dancing.

‘It means so much to the charity, thank you so much to everyone. They’re going to be so over the moon. It’s going to help so many people. Thank you.’

Viewers tuning in to watch Beat The Chasers were in awe of Shaun’s performance, with many calling him a ‘legend’ for winning such a huge amount of money for charity.
