Ashley Cain’s heart is ‘being torn to pieces’ as his baby daughter continues to battle leukaemia.

The Ex On The Beach star has shared seven-month-old Azaylia’s hospital journey with fans on social media, and recently explained that the little one had been readmitted to hospital after a relapse.

Taking to Instagram, the 30-year-old offered a poem to followers, stating that he has suffered one of the ‘most difficult’ days so far.

‘Today has been one of the most difficult days of my life,’ he penned alongside the poem.

‘I feel like my heart is being torn to pieces. But as I’m staring over at my little baby girl in her cot from my hospital bed, I see hope.

‘Hope that I will hang onto, hold tight and use to fight every inch and every second of this fight!

‘(Reading this poem touched my heart, whoever wrote it… I thank you).’

In a series of videos shared on Ashley’s Instagram story, he also opened up about the ‘toughest day’.

‘It’s such a difficult position to be in,’ he said. ‘She’s the most beautiful thing in the world to me and it’s breaking my heart.’

Azaylia has been diagnosed with a ‘rare and aggressive’ form of cancer known as AML (acute myeloid leukaemia).

She has been battling the condition since shortly after her birth, with her parents offering updates on social media.

In a recent post, Ashley said he and girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee had been left with ‘very few options’ – and could have to ‘leave the country’ if one solution comes through.

‘After yesterday’s results we have found out that Azaylia has heartbreakingly relapsed and we have immediately been admitted back into hospital as inpatients,’ he said this week.

‘We are devastated at the news and are left with very few options.

‘We, along with the consultants have been reaching out globally in the last 24 hours to find a solution to save Azaylia’s life. So far, we have only one potential option that we will be getting confirmation on tomorrow.

‘This will mean that we will be uprooting and leaving the country in a matter of days/weeks to embark on a year long journey to save our beautiful little girl!

‘Azaylia is such a strong little girl who has fought through every near impossible battle so far and she has done it all with love in her heart and a smile on her face! We pray that we get the right news tomorrow so she can continue fighting for the life that she loves so much!’
