Halle Berry has called out racist comments made on-air by a radio host, who was fired for comparing her skin tone to toast settings.

The actress, 54, shared a clip of the moment on 97 Rock in the USA where Rob Lederman compared the skin tones of various Black female stars including Serena Williams, Halle and Gayle King to different settings of toast.

She wrote alongside it: ‘Disgusting. It’s ridiculous this type of nonsense is still being broadcasted across airwaves.

‘ALL Black women are beautiful and worthy, Rob Lederman. GTFOH.’

The clip had been shared to Twitter by ESPN reporter Marcel Louis-Jacques, in which Rob could be heard saying: ‘I may get into trouble for this…,’ before making the racist comments about liking his toast a certain colour based on the ‘attractiveness’ of certain Black women.

A spokesperson for Cumulus Media confirmed to People that Rob had been ‘swiftly terminated’ following the incident.

They said in a statement: ‘Cumulus Media operates from a clearly-defined set of programming principles and there is no question that Rob Lederman’s comments made on The Morning Bull Show are in direct violation of those principles.

‘We swiftly terminated him and suspended the remainder of the show’s on-air talent. We apologise, and deeply regret the incident.’

Rob later told The Buffalo News he hopes to ‘learn from’ the incident after being ‘horrified’ when he listened back to his comments.

He added: ‘I could easily see how someone could be offended by that. I get that. It sounds terrible, and it is terrible… Now, can I take back those words? No. If you listen to them, were they meant to be hurtful? Absolutely not.’

Rob’s co-hosts, Rich ‘Bull’ Gaenzler and Chris Klein, were also suspended from the station after the segment aired.
