People tuning in to watch the celebrity special of Beat The Chasers may be wondering where The Chase star Paul Sinha, aka ‘The Sinnerman’, is as he is notably absent from the show.

ITV quiz show The Chase, presented by Bradley Walsh, provides a much-needed dose of fascinating knowledge, paired with light-hearted humour and a smattering of extremely intentional innuendos.

Spin-off programme Beat The Chasers followed in a similar suit when it launched in April 2020, with individual contestants taking on five Chasers at once, as opposed to a team of players versus just one Chaser.

In the new series, which launches on Saturday March 27 with a celebrity special, Paul will not be a part of the Chaser line-up.

So where is Paul and which other Chasers will be taking part in the show?

Where is Paul as he is missing from Beat The Chasers?

On Wednesday March 17, Paul shared a tweet in which he addressed the upcoming new episodes of the third series of Beat The Chasers.

Paul explained that he was going to be absent from the new season. However, that doesn’t mean he has left the show for good.

‘New episodes of Beat The Chasers are on their way,’ he wrote.

‘Unfortunately, I wasn’t well for the recordings and couldn’t join in this time around.’

The comedian added that he is ‘feeling much better now’.

Several fans wished the quiz master better, with one person tweeting in response: ‘As long as you are feeling better now that’s all that matters’

‘Love that programme! Glad you’re feeling better and hope to see you back on it soon,’ another said.

Which Chasers are on the show?

The original plan for the new series of Beat The Chasers was to have all six of the Chasers on the show, ITV stated in a press release.

However, in Paul’s absence, the five remaining Chasers will be holding down the fort.

They are Mark Labbett (‘The Beast’), Anne Hegerty (‘The Governess’), Jenny Ryan (‘The Vixen’), Shaun Wallace (‘The Dark Destroyer’) and newest cast member Darragh Ennis (‘The Menace’), who joined in 2020 after starring on the show as a contestant in 2017.

The celebrity special of Beat The Chasers airs tonight at 8.35pm on ITV.
