Lucifer actor D.B. Woodhouse has dropped a hint about what to expect in the upcoming series, promising ‘a lot of chaos’.

The American star, 51, was last seen on screens in the summer of last year when the first half of the fifth series of Lucifer returned to Netflix.

The most recent instalment ended with a cliffhanger in which Lucifer and Woodside’s character Amendial battled it out against Michael and Mazikeen, with God appearing right at the last minute.

It is not yet known when season 5B will be released but Woodhouse has spoken out to keep fans interested.

He told TVLine: ‘When God comes, a lot of chaos is going to follow… Amenadiel is absolutely humiliated that God saw him behaving the way that he was with his brother because as the oldest, he’s really supposed to be the one that sets the example – and he was not doing that!’

Filming for new season only recently wrapped for the final sixth season and Woodhouse shared a picture with his co-star Tom Ellis.

Posting the snap on Twitter, he wrote: ‘Last scene with my brother @tomellis17… and I can not stop crying.

‘Thank you for everything, brother. You are a divine talent and a true gentleman. I love you mate.’

Tom replied: ‘I love you brother. That was ridiculously tough to get through but like every scene we have done over the years… I enjoyed every minute of it.

‘Thank you for being such a force and such a friend… you are the real deal.’

Lucifer series four and 5A are available on Netflix now with the release dates for season 5B and six set to be announced.

Seasons one to three are viewable on Amazon Prime Video.
