Zooey Deschanel confirms she does have a forehead but looks unrecognisable without her fringe
Zooey Deschanel has stunned fans by sharing a photo of her without her iconic fringe – and fans can’t get over how different she looks.
The New Girl star, 41, shared a mirror selfie of her with her fringe blended into the rest of her hair as she joked: ‘For all the doubters…. Proof I have a forehead.’
Zooey also shared a meme of her with and without her fringe on her story, which read: ‘Seeing Zooey Deschanel without bangs and glasses, I finally get how nobody knew Clark Kent was Superman.’
She joked with her followers: ‘This photo reminded me of this meme… lol.’
Her fans were blown away by the transformation and took to the comments to tell Zooey how unrecognisable she looked without her iconic hairdo.
They wrote: ‘I did not recognize that this was Zooey Deschanel until I looked at the username….’ and ‘baby this is katy perry’.
Others added: ‘If you ever want to rob a bank or something just wear your hair like that. Nobody will know it was you’ and ‘i cant recognize you without bangs.’
It’s no wonder some of her fans were mistaking her for Katy Perry as Zooey recently starred as the singer’s doppelganger in her music video for Not The End Of The World.
Fans were obsessed with the video, which came out in December, in which Zooey dresses up as Katy after some alien superfans mistake her for the singer.
The actress is seen playing the part of Katy before she is eventually required to save the world.
Katy also admitted on an Instagram Live that she used to pretend to be Zooey to get into clubs, joking: ‘I have to admit something, Zooey.
‘When I came to LA, I was pretty much a nobody, and you were just getting so huge at that time — it was like Zooey Deschanel ran the world… In that moment, I was so complimented to look like you.
‘But I have to admit something to you on a Live: That when I first got to LA, I went to the club a lot.
‘And I wanted to get into the club and I had no money, and I had no clout, I had nothing, and sometimes I would pose as you to get into the club.’
