Sharon Stone says surgeon made her breasts bigger without her consent: ‘He thought I would look better’
Sharon Stone has revealed a surgeon gave her bigger breasts during an operation without her consent.
The actress underwent surgery in 2001 that was simply meant to be reconstructive after having ‘gigantic’ benign tumours removed.
However when she came round she realised she had been made ‘a full cup-size bigger’.
In her memoir The Beauty Of Living Twice, in which the 63-year-old said the surgeon told her he ‘thought that I would look better with bigger, “better” boobs.
‘When I was unbandaged, I discovered that I had a full cup-size bigger breasts, ones that he said “go better with your hip size”.
‘He had changed my body without my knowledge or consent.’
She also shared with The Times how she was mocked in Hollywood after her role in 1992’s Basic Instinct, in which she starred opposite Michael Douglas as a manipulative novelist embroiled in a murder investigation.
‘When I went to the Golden Globes as a nominee in 1993 and they called my name as a finalist, everyone laughed. It was really hard to be me after that movie came out,’ Sharon said.
‘They probably thought I was the character. They wanted to believe I was the character.’
It comes after she claimed she slapped the film’s director Paul Verhoeven for tricking her into removing her underwear for that famous scene.
In a further extract from her memoir published by Vanity Fair, Sharon – 32 at the time – said she was assured her private area would not be exposed on-screen.
However when she was called to a meeting to see the final version of the film, she realised the agreement hadn’t been honoured.
She wrote: ‘That was how I saw my vagina-shot for the first time, long after I’d been told, “We can’t see anything, I just need you to remove your panties, as the white is reflecting the light, so we know you have panties on.”
‘Yes, there have been many points of view on this topic, but since I’m the one with the vagina, in question, let me say: The other points of view are bulls***. It was me and my parts up there.’
