Tony Bellew , Teddy Atlas, and Other Boxing Pros React to Dillian Whyte’s Brutal KO of Alexander Povetkin
Dillian Whyte successfully avenged his loss against Alexander Povetkin and reclaimed the WBC Interim heavyweight crown by unleashing a knockout win in round four of the 12-rounds headliner. Akin to the original fight, Whyte appeared as the aggressor from the first round.
The Brit unveiled a lopsided prowess and dismantled his Russian adversary for a brief period. While Povetkin was looking for a way to respond, it was clearly Dillian Whyte’s night. ‘The Body Snatcher’ clipped Povetkin multiple times, advancing himself comfortably on the scorecard.
However, he didn’t let the judges decided his fate. The sweet revenge came via stoppage as Whyte was similarly left concussed in the first fight. Although both the fights appeared similar till they stopped, the vast difference in the outcomes has validated Dillian Whyte’s spot in the top-tier of the division.
While the heavyweight boxers collided against each other and put on a tremendous fight to the display, here’s how boxing analysts and media persons have reacted to the fight.
Predicted he would stop Povetkin quicker than anyone before him tonight and he only went out there and did it! Very accomplished display from @DillianWhyte that was! Congratulations you are back amongst the beat in the division!

What’s next for Dillian Whyte?
Following his Interim title win, Dillian Whyte is the mandatory challenger for Tyson Fury’s WBC title. However, he will have to cool his heels until Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua face each other in a title unification battle.
Meanwhile, Whyte can face any of the other heavyweights in the period. But considering his mandatory spot at stake, ‘The Body Snatcher’ might opt to take some time off from the rind. He has fought Povetkin twice in six months, being super active in recent times.
