The Circle is about to welcome two new players to the game – but are they real, or are they a catfish?

With the blocking of Tally still weighing heavy on everyone’s minds, the new additions are certainly going to throw a cat amongst the pigeons.

So, who exactly are these newbies, and what do they intend to do to win the game?

Are they going to be trying to find love? Or will they even manage to convince people that they’re real?

Here’s everything you need to know.

Joey (playing as Femi)

Joey is a 26-year-old entrepreneur, but for the sake of the game, he’s playing as a Nigerian immigrant version of himself called Femi.

I thought it would just be a good kind of thing for me to be able to touch on the fact that there are a lot of immigrants in the UK that move away from different countries seeking a better life to support family back home,’ he said.

‘I thought that would be a good thing to highlight. And I kind of love the show anyway. I’ve watched the last two seasons. I thought it’d be fun.’

‘I will be open to people flirting with me,’ he added. ‘I’ll be open to flirting with others, but I think purely again, for the sake of the game.

‘I’m not going on The Circle to look for love. I take it with a pinch of salt because I think I’d be p***ed off if I did that to myself and I found out the person wasn’t who they said they were.’

Pippa (playing as herself)

Pippa is a smart cookie, and a paralegal in commercial litigation.

The 26-year-old is therefore going in as herself, and hopes to prove that ‘looks aren’t everything’.

‘I am just being me and hopefully I can build relationships, but genuine relationships,’ she said.

‘To get far in life in general, you do have to have a good, genuine relationship with some people.

‘Studying law and the career that I’m in is quite strategic. You have to have the art of communication and the gift of the gab to win people over.

‘I play poker as well, so I’m quite good at sensing bluffers. So I’m going to be bringing in all my natural traits, and applying them to the game.’

The Circle continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 4.
