Reports of an outage began flooding in at around 3pm UK time.

The majority of complaints are related to the News Feed not loading.

But a large number of users are also warning of log-in issues.

Users in both the UK and US are complaining that the app isn’t working.

However the outage isn’t universal – some users are still able to log on and browse Instagram.

Forlorn Instagram users flocked to Twitter to bemoan the outage.

Another said: “Instagram down? I legit downloaded and deleted two times.”

And one joked about the app’s billionaire owner: “Zuckerberg up to his games again, Instagram is down.”
