The Lucifer cast have been sharing their goodbye messages after filming wrapped for the final time.

Stars of the show were in emotional mood as the drama shot its last ever scenes, with the series ending after its upcoming sixth season.

The likes of Aimee Garcia and Lesley-Ann Brandt posted farewell messages for fans, after Tom Ellis said goodbye earlier this week.

In an extensive Instagram post, Maze star Lesley-Ann wrote: ‘Here we are, at the end of our journey you and I. We have laughed and cried , loved and lost and now we say goodbye, you and I.

‘Ever faithful to your story, ever faithful to your journey, your body, your heart. Never more to speak as you speak but never without your words. Grateful am I for seasons. Grateful I am for lessons. Grateful I am for challenges. Grateful I am. Blessed are the memories we share, you and I. Your skin was my skin. Your heart IS my heart.’

She went on to say: ‘To the fans, none of it was possible without you. You embraced us and a demon with heart. I love you. Simply and deeply, with my all, thank you.’

Aimee, known for playing Ella Lopez, also posted behind the scenes videos from the set, speaking to stars such as D.B. Woodside to share messages for viewers.

‘So it’s our last day of filming today. Some people are more emotional than others. I won’t say who the cry babies are! Thank you to all of your fans and our family,’ she said.

It comes after Tom, who plays the Ruler of the Underworld, confirmed that Monday was the last day for everyone.

Sharing a heartfelt post alongside a lighter engraved with the dates of his first and last days on set, the actor wrote: ‘Today is the day. 6 years ago I started a journey with the most amazing group of people and today we say a fond farewell to each other.

The fifth series arrives on our screens on May 28. The first half of the series aired in August 2020, and ended with the arrival of Lucifer’s father, God (Dennis Haysbert), who had come to stop the fight between him, twin brother Michael (also played by Tom) and brother Amenadiel (DB Woodside).

The second half was delayed partially due to the industry-wide shutdown for coronavirus. It was then given a reprieve by Netflix and received an unplanned season six.

Lucifer season 5b arrives on Netflix on May 28.
