Call of Duty Season 2 Reloaded update live NOW – patch notes and what’s new

CALL of Duty has received a huge new update with loads of fresh content.

It’s called Season 2 Reloaded and it’s available right now.

Here’s what’s new in Call of Duty Season 2 Reloaded

The big news is that the game has a smaller file size, saving you as much as 30GB.

But it also introduces new maps, weapons and Operators.

It’s actually a mid-season update, as we’re still deep in Call of Duty Cold War’s Season 2.

As of March 30, you’ll be able to access new maps, including Miami Strike, Mansion and Golova.

Several new multiplayer modes are being added too.

These include Multi-Team Warpoint, Gunfight Tournament and Blueprint Gun Game.

There’s a new Outbreak region that’s basically a nighttime version of Sanatorium.

Also coming to Outbreak is a new Secure objective, the Dirt Bike vehicle, and new Intel.

New Operators being added to the game include Wolf and Rivas.

And there’s a new firearm in the form of the ZRG 20MM sniper rifle.

Finally, Prop Hunt is back, with new maps and props to enjoy.

Call of Duty Season 2 – the full roadmap

The season introduces four new Operators.

They include former Laotian warlord Kapano ‘Naga’ Vang, Zombies star Samantha Maxis, skilled hunter and Delta Force sniper Terrell Wolf, and Nicaraguan guerrilla warfare master expert Karla Rivas.

There are six new weapons, including:

  • Fara 83 assault rifle
  • LC10 SMG
  • Machete
  • E-Tool
  • R1 Shadowhunter crossbow
  • ZRG 20 sniper rifle

There’s a new Zombies experience called Outbreak.

It’s a large-scale mode across giant play areas in the Ural Mountains.

A new Field Upgrade called Frenzied Guard has been added for Zombies too.

All enemies will attack it for a brief period, only causing damage to Armour.

Four Multiplayer maps are being added too:

  • Apocalypse 6v6 – Laos jungle cartel base, small-to-medium size
  • Golova multi-team – traditional Russian village
  • Mansion 2v2, 3v3 – The Hefe Mansion in Havana, Cuba
  • Miami Strike 6v6 – A daytime version of the existing Miami map

There are three new modes, including Gun Game (FFA), Stockpile 6v6, and Hardpoint (Multi-Team).

New challenges, vehicles and prestige levels have also been added.

And for Warzone, there are new points of interest, including a new cargo tanker…and something “major” and mysterious underground.

In other news, The Sun’s favourite alternative to a games console is the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.

Check out the wildly impressive Panasonic 65HZ1000 TV, which makes most tellies look rubbish.

And Dell’s Alienware R10 Ryzen Edition is a gaming PC powerhouse that crushes both the new consoles.
