GMB’s Ranvir Singh calls for ‘all details’ of Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview to be reviewed after Archbishop’s claims
RANVIR Singh has suggested ‘all details’ of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive Oprah interview will prompt questioning after the Archbishop of Canterbury countered claims they were married three days before their televised nuptials.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a number of revelations during the two-hour TV special as they discussed their decision to leave the Royal family and move to America.

During the interview, Meghan told Oprah that she and Harry tied the knot “in our backyard” before the lavish public ceremony at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
Later in the tell-all, Harry said it had been just them and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby present at the private service, said to have taken place in the small garden of Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
However, officials later poured cold water on the claim, with Stephen Borton, who drew up the licence for the wedding, telling The Sun Meghan was “obviously confused”.
Then the Archbishop told La Repubblica that the couple’s legal wedding took place on May 19 at Winsdor Castle, saying it would have been a “serious criminal offence” to go ahead with the second ceremony if they were already wed.

In light of his interview, GMB host Ranvir suggested that the Archbishop’s comments will prompt “more questioning of all the details” shared in the couple’s tell-all on today’s show.
The broadcaster then speculated whether Meghan had been referring to a “blessing” at home with Harry instead of a legal ceremony.
She said: “[Meghan] might have meant blessed? You were blessed. People have their vows blessed, don’t they and things like that.
“Maybe she just meant that?”

To which her co-host Susanna Reid responded: “I think what he’s referring to is one of the number of private and pastoral meetings that he had with them.”
Ranvir continued: “But she talks in there, ‘Those vows, those were just for us, the ones we’ve got framed’ she says that, ‘The vows we got framed, those are just for us’.
“So they clearly they had some sort of ceremony but it wasn’t a legal ceremony.”

She added: “The problem for her of course now is that all the furore that followed [the interview] and all that ricocheted out – which we’ve felt across the world and right here – is that it does lend itself to more questioning of all the details in every part of the two-hour sit down that we saw.”
The fallout of the interview was felt at not only at the Palace but at Good Morning Britain too when host Piers Morgan quit the show over comments he made stating he didn’t believe Meghan had suffered suicidal thoughts.
The 55-year-old walked off the show in his explosive final day presenting after he clashed with weatherman Alex Beresford over his dismissive comments.
