Last minute England breaks for the first April weekend of permitted travel from £50pppn

IT’S just a matter of weeks before holidays in England can restart for one household.

As we speed towards the date in most Brits’ diaries – April 12 – it’s time to consider a last minute short break to make the most of the first relaxation on travel restrictions.

After Boris Johnson’s roadmap announcement, holiday companies saw a surge in bookings and this has continued over the past few weeks.

UK holiday company LastMinute-Cottages.co.uk recently reported that they only have seven per cent of properties remaining for the weekend of April when travel can go ahead again.

Despite the bookings rush, there are still some properties available for April 16-19, just over three weeks away.

Here are some of the best last minute properties to book now.

The Smithy, Lincolnshire
