Louise Redknapp says her mum fears hunky male friends put potential boyfriends off because she’s surrounded by gay men
LOUISE Redknapp has revealed her mum’s fears that her hunky male friends put potential boyfriends off because she’s often surrounded by gay men.
The singer, 46, is single and recently admitted she’s keen to get back on the dating scene.
Louise spoke about her dating problems to comedians James Barr and Dan Hudson as she chatted to them on their A Gay And A Nongay podcast.
As the former Eternal hitmaker explained how her whole team are largely gay, she added this was why her mum Lynne thinks she’s single.
Louise told them: “My mum said to me… ‘when you’re sat there with eight boys, maybe men aren’t not coming up to ask you out because they think one of them is your boyfriend…’
“It just made me laugh… I don’t want to have to wear a t-shirt saying ‘they’re all gay men!’”
The mother-of-two revealed this week that she’s “ready to marry again” after she “cleared the toxic energy from her past”.
Louise is now looking to find her new Mr Right after divorcing husband of 20 years Jamie Redknapp in 2017.
A source told Heat: “Louise doesn’t want to get messed around. She’s got a list of requirements – mainly that he’s self-sufficient, secure in himself and trustworthy.
“She’s serious about moving on, and has said that clearing all that toxic energy from the past has made her realise she could see herself getting married again.

Jamie, 47, has been dating the 37-year-old since last August with pals saying the football pundit was attracted to the her sense of humour, immediately falling for the “kind and fun” model.
The mother-of-four is believed to be the former footballer’s first relationship since the end of his marriage to Louise.
Louise and Jamie have sons Charlie, 16, and Beau, 12, who they amicably co-parent together.
