Woman arrested by police at Drake’s home in Toronto after attempting to break in
A woman was arrested at Drake’s home in Toronto after attempting to break in.
Police were called to the In My Feelings hit-maker’s property on Tuesday, where the woman was taken into custody.
She was apprehended in the early evening as she tried to gain entry into Drake’s property, that sits on 35,000 square ft, with the artist believed to have been at home at the time.
According to TMZ, a spokesperson for Toronto Police confirmed officers responded to a call and arrested the woman in question before she could get into Drake’s estate.
Nobody was injured during the incident and police are now investigating.
The spokesperson also dismissed reports claiming a woman was armed with a knife and had allegedly hit one of Drake’s security guards with a pipe, before storming his home.
They insisted such reports were not true.
Drake hasn’t publicly commented on the incident.
The Canadian star, 34, was recently seen addressing speculation he is ‘ready to date’ Kim Kardashian, following her split from husband Kanye West.
Kim filed for divorce last month from husband of six-years Kanye, and reports later claimed that Drake was hoping to spark up a romance with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
Drake and Kanye famously feuded in the past over music and allegations of a romance between the One Dance singer and Kim.
When contacted by popular Instagram account, Gossip Of The City, about speculation he was setting his sights on Kim, Drake set the record straight.
Asked if it was ‘fake news’, Drake responded: ‘Obviously,’ alongside a crying laughing face emoji.
Earlier this year, Drake was forced to pushback the release of his upcoming album Lover Boy, following a knee injury.
It was due to drop in January, but Drake has now delayed the release until later in 2021, as he told fans: ‘I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery.
‘I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album but CLB won’t be dropping in January.’
Fans are left waiting for an exact release date to be confirmed, as Drake vaguely said: ‘I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.’
