3 transfers Dream Team bosses need to make to cash in this month

With European knockouts fixtures and a scattering of games played at Wembley in the domestic cups, April is a huge month in the Dream Team calendar.

You lot need to make the right decisions to ensure you make the most of the month ahead.

Transfers will be refreshed this Friday (2nd April) and we’ve compiled three recommendations for your consideration.

DT x BETWAY SPECIAL: Luke Shaw and Trent Alexander-Arnold to keep a clean sheet and provide an assist each this weekend — NOW 100/!

OUT: Jack Grealish (£4.5m), IN: Mason Mount (£3.5m)

Did Gareth Southgate write this?

A big call straight out of the gate here.

Aston Villa’s slick playmaker is not be underestimated in the slightest, and he is expected to return from injury this weekend, but you’ve got to squeeze the schedule.

Chelsea have seven fixtures in April to Villa’s four — Dean Smith’s side face a trip to Anfield and a home game against Man City in the coming weeks.

Game-for-game, Grealish is probably the better option but isn’t Mount likely to produce more points given his busier schedule?

OUT: Timo Werner (£3.4m), IN: Diogo Jota (£2.9m)

He got it all wrong

Did you see the German’s miss against North Macedonia on Wednesday night? Blimey.

For all his pace and directness, Werner’s confidence is clearly low right now as he’s struggling to put the ball into the net from even the most advantageous positions.

Liverpool have a potentially testing month ahead but Real Madrid are not the force they were a few seasons ago and Jurgen Klopp’s men will fancy their chances of progressing to the Champions League semi-finals.

Werner’s price has dropped to the extent that finding a replacement isn’t easy but Jota looks like an appealing alternative.

The Portugal international has league games against Leeds and Newcastle at the end of the month, which could be fruitful endeavours.

OUT: Kasper Schmeichel (£3.3m), IN: Bernd Leno (£2.2m)

Bargain

This is not an essential swap by any means.

Dream Team bosses with Leicester’s No1 in their side are perfectly fine to carry on as they are but this change would free up an additional £1.1m to use elsewhere.

Plus, there is a good chance Arsenal’s keeper will provide healthy returns in during the middle phase of the month when the Gunners play Sheffield United and Fulham in the league amid a Europa League tie against Slavia Prague.

Leno also has an extra game on Schmeichel in April.

The Dane faces tough tests against Man City and West Ham in his next two outings.
