Tiger Woods cops say they’ve discovered what caused horror crash but WON’T reveal it amid criticism of investigation
COPS investigating Tiger Woods’ horrific car crash said they determined what caused the accident, but won’t reveal in publicly.
The decision to keep the cause private for now comes after the cops investigating the accident received much backlash over how they’ve handled the case.

Woods, 45, often lauded as the best golfer to ever live, was in a single-car accident on February 23 near Los Angeles that left him severely injured.
The golfer had to undergo surgery to fix two fractures in his right leg and a shattered ankle after his car flipped multiple times and rolled off the road.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who was investigating the crash, has been criticized for referring to it as “purely an accident,” and saying there was no evidence that the golfer was impaired.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Villaneuva acknowledged that the investigation is over.

Woods apparently struck a raised medium before the horrific crash[/caption]
“A cause has been determined [and] the investigation is concluded,” he said, before claiming that — for privacy reasons — the cause of the accident could not be disclosed at this time.
“We have reached out to Tiger Woods and his personnel,” he said.
“There’s some privacy issues on releasing information on the investigation so we’re going to ask them if they waive the privacy and then we will be able to do a full release on all the information regarding the accident.”
The sheriff added that the department has “all the contents” of the car’s black box, again adding, “we can’t release it without the permission of the people involved in the collision.”
The department took to Twitter on Wednesday to say that the details of the accident report are governed by “California Vehicle Code Section 20012” and will be released when legally permitted.
The department has previously been accused of giving Woods special treatment because he is famous. Investigators reportedly did not seek blood samples to test for drugs or alcohol after the crash.

The crash came just four years after the golf great checked himself into a clinic for help dealing with an addiction to prescription drugs after a DUI in his home state of Florida.
In the 2021 crash, the vehicle Woods was driving struck a raised median in the Rolling Hills Estates near Los Angeles.
He was driving a borrowed Genesis SUV at the time, and reportedly smashed through a street sign and hit a tree before flipping the vehicle multiple times.
He announced on social media on March 16 that he was being released from the hospital after a more than three-week stay.
“Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery,” he wrote.
“I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.
