MORE than one in ten workers plan on getting so drunk when all lockdown restrictions end, they have booked the next day off.

Party-lovers expect to have a terrible hangover on Tuesday, June 22, after celebrating the nation returning to normal.

By Monday June 21, the Government hopes all adults will have been offered their first Covid-19 jab and that infections will have dropped to a safe level.

The summer of fun is forecast in a new poll by The Sun which shows people will grab their new freedoms — and each other — with both hands.

Our survey revealed 37 per cent of the contact-starved nation wants to start hugging again — and having been told to stay at home for much of the past year, people are desperate to escape the confines of the same four walls.

Booking a holiday is what the majority of us are most looking forward to.

The survey, carried out by OnePoll, revealed 32 per cent of respondents want to spend a night away, anywhere as long as it is not their own place.

DRINKING A PINT WITH A PAL

More than a quarter have already organised a getaway in Britain for this summer and another 31 per cent plan to.

Holidays abroad remain in doubt because of new variants and rising infections in continental Europe.

The enthusiasm for breaks in Britain is great for the badly hit hospitality sector.

More than a quarter are most looking forward to drinking a pint with a pal on April 12, when drinking establishments and restaurants will be permitted to serve customers outside.

Ten per cent of the 1,000 people questioned said the boozer is the first place they will head to.

But getting a haircut was also the top priority, with 13 per cent aiming to get their lockdown locks trimmed.

Local shops and businesses are valued highly in the poll, with 63 per cent saying they want to support them more than ever after restrictions are lifted.
