American Idol judge Katy Perry revealed she’s ‘quit shaving’ her legs since becoming a new mom on last night’s episode.

The Dark Horse singer and her fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020 and Katy stated she hasn’t had time to be getting rid of her body hair.

After the 36-year-old and her fellow judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, had been blown away by Cassandra Coleman’s performance on Sunday night, Katy’s leg hairs played a part in her praise of the contestant’s vocals.

The I Kissed A Girl singer began: ‘Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is other worldly, angelic.

‘As a new mother I don’t have very much time so I’ve quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch an a half. Full body chills! It was amazing.’

Host Ryan Seacrest then quipped: ‘I tell you, Luke was checking to make sure you were telling the truth while you were talking.’

To prove her point, Katy went on to raise her legs up on her judge’s table so everyone could take a peek.

‘Don’t touch’, she warned as Luke gave her legs an inspection.

Luke confirmed, ‘She literally has leg hair!’, to which Ryan responded: ‘Thank you for the forensic report.’

Oh Katy, never change!

The Teenage Dream singer took to Twitter to address the viral moment with a gif as she wrote: ‘An actual live look at my leg hair while I hear @casscoleman sing’.

However, some fans shared screenshots from the footage that appeared to show the judge’s legs looking quite smooth.

Sunday’s All-Star duet episode saw the contestant performance on stage alongside established artists.

American Idol continues on ABC.
