Family’s tribute to ‘much loved & full of fun’ Caroline Rennie, 21, who died in ‘horrific and tragic’ farming accident

THE HEARTBROKEN family of a ‘much loved’ Scots woman who died in a horror farm accident have paid tribute after her tragic death.

Caroline Rennie, 21, passed away after an incident in a field beside the A947 near Turiff in Aberdeenshire at around 4pm yesterday.

Cops discovered the body of tragic Caroline when they arrived at the scene.

Officers have now launched a probe into the tragedy but it is understood the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A statement from Caroline’s heartbroken family read: “We are devastated by the loss of Caroline who was so full of life, full of fun and much loved.

“She was a great friend to everyone who knew her and will be much missed.”

Tributes also flooded in on social media, with William Stuart saying: “So so sad. My heart goes out to the girl and her family.

“It is difficult to comprehend what that family and co workers will be going through just now.”

 

Michelle Gale said: “Tragic. Condolences to the family.”

Rose Logan added: “So sad to hear, thoughts with family and friends at this time.”

Exact details of her death have not been released but locals have claimed it came as a result of an agricultural accident.


Karen Chalmers said: “It was a horrific and tragic accident.”

Detective Inspector John Lumsden said: “Our thoughts are very much with Caroline’s family at what is a very difficult time for all who knew her and officers are supporting her family.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
