Four in a Bed unearths some of the most wonderful hotels and B&Bs in the country.
In one of the early seasons of the hit show, the competition featured a posh couple who owned a rather lavish place… and two people we’d become very familiar with in the end – Steph and Dom from Gogglebox.
Gogglebox, now well into its 17th series, has brought back plenty of favourite faces including Mary and Giles, Ellie and Izzie and the Siddiquis but it was this posh pair who became two early favourites of the show.
Steph and Dom – always with a cocktail and a sausage dog to hand – were on the show from 2013 to 2016 – but when were the couple first on Four in a Bed?

The same year the posh pair would go on to become early Gogglebox favourites, Steph and Dom appeared in a 2013 episode of Four in a Bed.
In season 4, episode 13, Steph and Dom invited viewers – and their fellow contestants – into The Salutation in Sandwich, where the pair were said to pride themselves on giving guests a taste of the luxury lifestyle.
When the Salutation first opened its doors, its kitchen was run by the Michelin-star chef Shane Hughes.
The TV duo owned the property, which boasts an impressive scale of 3.7 acres, since 2004.
When the episode re-aired, viewers were quick to praise Steph and Dom for coming across so well.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: ‘I remember these episodes. Steph and Dom were lovely (they could mix with anyone).’
Do Steph and Dom still own their hotel?
The Salutation has since closed.
Speaking to The Sun, Dom confirmed reports that the hotel had closed following debt struggles. He said: ‘We are sorry to confirm that The Salutation Hotel Ltd, which has been managing The Salutation, has indeed become insolvent.
‘We are in discussions with other interested parties and we aim to have the hotel back up and running very soon, under new management.’
The couple now live in Kingston.
