CNN and MSNBC legal analyst Midwin Charles dies aged 47
Well known legal analyst Midwin Charles, who appeared on CNN and MSNBC, had died at the age of 47.
Her family confirmed the news by sharing a statement on her Instagram page.
It read: ‘It is with a profoundly heavy heart and the deepest sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Midwin Charles.
‘She was known to many as a legal commentator on television but to us she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin.’
They continued: ‘Our lives are forever changed and we will miss her for a lifetime. The family thanks you in advance for your love and prayers.’
No cause of death was given in the statement.
Hollywood star Sharon Stone sent her ‘condolences’ while actress Yvette Nicole Brown added: ‘I am heartbroken by this news. Truly gutted. 💔’
Other friends and fans revealed their sadness over the news as one wrote: ‘Nooooo! This can’t be true 🥺 This is heartbreaking and shocking! Our hearts go out to you and the entire family.’
Another added: ‘here are no words. Sending love and condolences to the family 🙏🏿❤️.’
‘She was a truly extraordinary woman…beautiful inside & out. I am sending love & prayers to her beautiful mother and Hatain-American community,’ one follower commented.
