Khloe Kardashian has revealed how she’s choosing to power through her ongoing unfiltered picture leak as she shared a video of herself about to enjoy an early morning workout.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made headlines this week after she embarked on a mission to remove an unedited photo of her in her bikini that was posted on social media without her consent.
Though fans praised the snap for showing Khloe, 36, completely unfiltered and with her natural body, the release of the image simply heightened her body image insecurities.
After the Good American founder released a statement about the controversy, Khloe began to trend on social media as the public debated over her comments.
Taking to Instagram Story, the mother-of-one shared a clip of herself in a black sports bra, leggings and trainers as she prepared to embark on a workout.
She could be hearing saying: ‘Therapy Time. So this is my therapy and I don’t think anyone works out better or stronger than someone that’s frustrated, angry, mad, determined…
‘Let it all out in the gym. And that’s what I’m about to do.’
Her post came after she shared several quotes that appeared to take aim at social media trolls as one read: ‘social media gives people a mouth that they would never have in real life lol’
Another quote stated: ‘you will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy. c. joybell c.’
The day before says Khloe post a lengthy statement in which she said she had ‘every right’ to remove the unfiltered photo and has battled with body image issues after being ‘conditioned to feel [she is] not beautiful enough’.
She explained that the ‘pressure, constant ridicule and judgement’ has been ‘too much to bear’.
‘The photo that was posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point – and then shares it to the world – you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared – regardless of who you are,’ she explained.
Khloe, who is mother to two-year-old daughter True, later stated: ‘I am not perfect but I promise you that I try everyday to live my life as honestly as possible and with empathy and kindness.
‘It doesn’t mean that I have not made mistakes. But I’m not going to lie. It’s almost unbearable trying to live up to the impossible standards that the public have all set for me.’
She concluded: ‘Everyday I am told by my family and friends who love me that I am beautiful but I know that it needs to be believed from within. We are all unique and perfect in our own way. Whichever way one chooses to be seen.
‘I have realised that we cannot continue to live life trying to fit into the perfect mould of what others have set for us. Just do you and make sure your heart is happy.’
