Lauren Goodger has revealed she was taken to hospital last week after not feeling her baby move.

The former Towie star is pregnant with her first child and expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Charles Drury.

However, she suffered a scare last month with concerns for her baby’s health after falling unwell.

Lauren, 34, revealed in her latest pregnancy diary for OK! VIP: ‘Sadly, I ended up in hospital last week.

‘I didn’t feel the baby move and I didn’t feel myself, so I was advised to go and have a check-up.’

She added: ‘As you know I’ve always been honest about how I’m feeling and I will be able to talk about it in more detail next week when I’m fully over this episode.’

It appears Lauren and baby are on the right track as she later shared her excitement for an upcoming 4D scan in three weeks.

The reality TV star explained: ‘The company contacted me about it and I thought, “Yeah, how amazing”. I like having scans done.

‘As much as they are nerve-wracking it’s a reassurance thing – I’d have them every day if I could! I’ve got my midwife appointment next week so they will check me over and we’ll have a chat. It’s becoming very real now.’

Lauren announced her baby news in January when she was 14 weeks pregnant and said it ‘happened so quickly’ as she and Charles went public with their relationship in October.

She previously told new! Magazine: ‘This is where my life starts.

‘We were quite sexually active and I’m not on anything [contraceptives] and it happened very soon.’

Charles, 23, opened up about how he feels about becoming a first-time father in his early 20s and said: ‘Family has always been such a big thing and I’ve got friends who have done it from such a young age, and my mum had me at quite a young age as well – at 17.

‘It’s something that happened naturally and we wanted it straight away. When Lauren told me, it was mixed emotions, but something that I’d always wanted.’

Lauren added: ‘We’re very comfortable with each other and we’ve been through a lot. We’re settled at home and we’re having a baby – it’s gone 100 miles an hour! We’re a family now.’

Charles rose to fame as he dated Katie Price during her brief split from ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson last year. However, he’s insisted that they weren’t officially a couple and it was simply a short-lived romance.

Lauren was famously in a long-term relationship with her Towie co-star Mark Wright and they were also engaged until their split in 2012, while she’s also dated Joey Morrison and Jake McLean.
