The Crown star Emma Corrin appeared to confirm she is queer on Instagram, sharing photos as she rocked a wedding dress.

The 25-year-old, who came to worldwide fame thanks to her stint as Princess Diana in the Netflix drama, sent fans into a spin as she posted photos of a swanky photoshoot for Pop magazine.

But it was the cryptic Instagram caption she penned alongside the upload that had fans talking.

‘Ur fave queer bride #POP44 OUT NOW @thepopmag @esther_theaker [sic],’ she wrote.

Followers couldn’t get over the caption, flooding the comments section with praise and a sprinkling of marriage proposals.

‘THE holy representation we’ve been waiting for! Uh… blessed,’ one commented.

‘QUEER? Word I love my life,’ another replied.

As an Instagram user screamed: ‘ANOTHER WIN FOR THE GAYS.’

‘QUEER?! What a day to be alive,’ a fan said.

Despite living her life in the spotlight, and being part of one of the biggest TV shows at the moment, Emma has made sure to keep her love life firmly behind closed doors.

In a recent interview, she was questioned on whether she had a boyfriend, to which she replied: ‘I’d rather navigate this on my own.

‘It’s nicer to feel like I’m taking care of me.’

Emma’s post comes off the back of an incredible award season, taking home the gong for best performance by an actress in a drama TV series at the Golden Globes.

And she’s not resting on her laurels, as she has been confirmed to star as Harry Style’s wife in the big-screen adaptation of My Policeman.

According to Deadline, the movie – based on Bethan Roberts’ novel of the same name – will follow ‘the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home’.

This ‘triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal’.

Bring it on.
