Kerry Katona pens emotional tribute to late aunt Angela following her funeral: ‘Miss you more than you’ll ever know’
Kerry Katona has paid an emotional tribute to her beloved aunt Angela following her funeral on Friday.
The 40-year-old revealed late last month that Angela had died after a battle with alcoholism.
And in a new Instagram post, the former singer shared a slew of pictures with her aunt while revealing she had been laid to rest.
In her caption, she wrote: ‘Today we say goodbye to the life and soul of the party! Our Ange.. Angela I love you so much and gonna miss you more then you will ever know.
‘You was my everything when I was a little girl, I wanted to be just like you. Thank you for all the crazy adventures we did together. Love you Ange [sic].’
At the time of her death, Kerry penned a tear-jerking post in which she explained that her aunt was more like a sister to her.
She wrote: ‘My crazy, beautiful Aunty (more my sister) sadly passed away yesterday!’
‘We’re all absolutely heartbroken! Oh Ang I really wish I could rewind and tell you how much I love you and I always wanted to be you when I was little.
‘I should of done more! I love you Angela! My big sister! We had soooo many great adventure together. I can’t believe I’m even writing this post! [sic].’
Going on to share more photos, Kerry added: ‘Look at all those crazy adventures we went on! Angela I’m so sorry I’d give anything to rewind.’
Kerry, who got engaged to her partner Ryan Mahoney last summer, has five children – Molly and Lily-Sue, who she shares with Brian McFadden, Heidi and Maxwell, who she shares with Mark Croft, and Dylan-Jorge, from her relationship with George Kay.
Kay died in 2019 at the age of 39 following a drug overdose, with Kerry recently explaining that she’s tried to keep his memory alive for her daughter.
